My Favorite Automation Resources
I am such a fan of using tools to take the heavy lifting off of entrepreneurs like us! Here are a few of my favorite tools that I use in my own business.
Planoly – Planoly is fantastic for Instagram planning. The ability to autopost images and video makes it a HUGE bonus in my business.
Tailwind – Pinterest is my #1 source of referral traffic, so it makes sense I’d invest in tools that make it easier to manage. Tailwind is a fantastic scheduler and their Tribes feature is second-to-none
Socialbee – Socialbee is the tool I use to manage facebook, linkedin, and twitter scheduling. It connects to a ton of different apps and tools, and is incredibly easy to use
Metricool – If you’re into data and analytics, Metricool is fantastic. I use it to track my engagement numbers, and house my Instagram link grid.
MissingLettr – Another favorite for handling scheduling for facebook and twitter, MissingLettr will create a years’ worth of social posts for each blog. An excellent upsell feature for bloggers who do sponsored posts!
RelayThat – I love RelayThat because it’s able to take a single image and “remix” it into a number of layouts. It’s great for when you need the same style of templates for a variety of platforms.Â
Canva – Canva can’t be beat for quick designs! I have the Pro plan which makes it way easy to create transparent background images and logos (most of my course logos were made on Canva)
Depositphotos – my go-to stock photo site
Adobe – I have the Photography plan which is ~$10/month and makes editing photos for my blogs SO easy. Lightroom cannot be beat!
TubeBuddy – An absolute game changer for people who are serious about growing their YouTube channels. Handles SEO for videos incredibly easy.
Tubics – Tubics is similar to TubeBuddy but I like it because it’s incredibly easy to update old videos with new SEO and YouTube optimizations.Â
InVideo – My most fantastic app for video creation. I use it to create multiple versions of a video for different platforms (YouTube vs IGTV for example)
Screenflow – Screenflow is for Macs and it is a video recorder that can handle webcams, mics, and screen recordings. This is usually the first app I use to clean up my videos before sending it to InVideo.
Elementor Pro – Most of my landing pages have been created with ElementorPro. The free version can do a lot, but I love the additional options and integrations Pro gives.
SERPStat – I use SERPstat for finding blog topics to write about that I can rank for easily + its website optimizer function is really helpful when you’re trying to make it up the ranks of Google.
Shortpixel – If you’re on WordPress and have a ton of images, then ShortPixel will be your new best friend. It’s a plugin that can compress images and speed up your website super fast.
Shopify – Shopify is the only shopping cart I trust for physical products. I’ve became a Shopify user since 2014 and have loved all of the features they offer.
ThriveThemes – Similar to ElementorPro but has a ton of additional features like headline optimizer and even a quiz builder! Incredibly versatile and they keep updating it all the time with cool new features.Â
Greengeeks – All of my websites are hosted at Greengeeks. Their support has been stellar, but let’s not forget their dedication to ensuring a low eco-footprint for their clients!
ConvertKit – I started with ConvertKit in 2016 and loved how easily they made it for overwhelmed bloggers like me to get automation funnels and tagging started. They’re great for both new and scaling businesses.
Automizy – Automizy is my current email marketing software and they don’t have as many bells and whistles as ConvertKit, but their constant growth is something that made me want to be an early investor. Like the name says, their sweet spot is automation funnels
MailerLite – MailerLite has a ton of great features and it can do a lot of things in its free plan, but I’d recommend upgrading to one of their paid plans solely to get more of their automation features.
bcast.fm – bcast.fm is currently where we host both of my podcasts and they have been great! I especially love their ability to insert our own ads AND capture website leads
Soundwise – Soundwise can host podcasts, but their specialty is paid audio products. If you’re looking for a way to monetize your audio recordings, Soundwise is fantastic.
Play.HT – Play.ht has a really cool feature where it can translate text into audio, making it incredibly easy to turn your best blog posts into podcast episodes! I use the “Linda” voice, though they say they’re going to launch the ability to use our own voices soon!
